: updated storyreel
I had my industry panel critique this past wed. It went fairly smoothly- the major point that I took away was that: there's a lot more compositing that my project that I've underestimated. I knew there was some compositing work I would need to do to put the layers of rendered elements together - but there's a lot more involved to integrate all these elements so they all fit believeably into these scenes which are rampant with atmospheric effects. I sat in on Boaz's lighting + rendering II class on thurs. night in which he broke down render passes from a Digital Domain case study. It was also a good reminder that I had forgotten completely about motivation of light. (If I could have dragged the rest of my classmates into that session I would have. )
